I didn’t expect to care about any of these.
Usually when I try supplements, I take them for a few days, forget then find the bottle again a week later and think, “right, I was supposed to be consistent with this.” That’s normally how it goes.
This time I actually stuck with them. Not perfectly, but enough to notice when something felt… different. Not bigger, not dramatic, just slightly off in a good way. Like when your skin isn’t as irritated for no clear reason or you don’t hit that weird afternoon slump as hard.
That’s what made a few of these stand out.
How I’d Choose Supplements on iHerb
I tried out a few and found out that the choice is more than just picking something popular. I start with ingredient clarity. If I can see what’s inside, that's a better sign. Dosage is important too. More is not always better.
Form also makes a difference. Whether you do or don’t take something every day depends on whether it’s in capsule, softgel, or gummy form. And expectations count. Most supplements work quietly, not instantly.
1. Omega-3 Fish Oil

This is the one I almost didn't buy because I thought it would be annoying.
Fish oil has a reputation. Either it tastes funny or you get that backtaste later and you're out of there. That didn’t do it.
I would take it in the morning, usually half-asleep, and then forget about it. No burps later, no weird feeling in throat. That alone made it easier to stay consistent.
What I began to notice was not something I could point out on day one. After a couple weeks it was more that my skin didn’t break out as easily. Usually if I miss water, or eat poorly for a few days, it shows up. Just this time it didn’t feel quite so reactive.
It is not exciting.“If you’re looking for something obvious, you won’t find it. But it's one of those things that hold things together in a quiet sort of way.
2. Gold C (Vitamin C)

I felt this one more than I thought I would.
Usually by the middle of the week is when things start to feel a little heavier. Tired enough to notice but not enough to care. This didn't feel the same taking.
I didn’t all of a sudden feel energetic. That would’ve been suspicious. It was kind of like I didn't go as hard.
To be honest, capsules are a little bigger than I would want them to be. The first couple days I noticed it then I didn't care. But no taste is a help.
One thing I wouldn’t miss is the strength. I took it on an empty stomach once and that was enough not to make that mistake again. It’s okay with food.
This is the sort of thing I would keep around not because it’s exciting, but because you notice it more when you stop.
3. Lutein with Zeaxanthin

I did not expect to get much out of this, but it surprised me in a subtle way.
If you’re a person who spends hours staring at screens, you know what I’m talking about. After a few weeks, that heavy slightly strained feeling in your eyes at the end of the day didn’t seem so bad.
The capsules are small and easy, no taste and no aftertaste. It’s the kind of supplement you forget you’re taking until you notice something feels just a little better.
It’s not big. Your vision won’t be better overnight. But the reduced strain is real, especially if your day revolves around screens.
4. Vitamin D3 + K2

This one seemed more of a “foundation” supplement.
It’s one capsule a day. It’s small. It’s easy to take. It fits into literally any routine. No taste, no discomfort.
There was nothing in particular that stood out, but a general sense of balance. Energy felt a little more balanced especially on days when I wasn’t getting a lot of sunlight.
If you’re thinking long-term about bone health, it makes sense to combine it with K2 but in everyday life it just seems like something that quietly supports everything in the background.
Not exciting but very easy to keep consistent.
5. Vitamin D3 Gummies

Very different experience than the capsules.
They are actually fun to take which sounds like a small thing but it does make it easier to be consistent. They taste like mild citrus candy. Not too sugary but still something you look forward to.
That said they do contain sugar so it depends on what you’re comfortable with.
Effect wise its the same as the capsule version but I found myself reaching for these more often just because they didn’t feel like a chore.
If pills are a problem for you, this is an easy switch. If you prefer something more “clean” you may lean toward capsules.
6. CoQ10 with Black Pepper Extract

This was the most “felt” supplement of all I’ve tried.
The capsules are normal size, easy enough to take and not a strong taste. What I noticed was how it affected energy without making me jittery.
It was more sustained energy than a spike. I saw it most on days when there was more light and I’d tend to start winding down.
It’s not caffeine-clear, but there’s a difference in how your body deals with fatigue.
This one feels more pointed. You might not need it all but if you’re after something that supports energy without feeling artificial it’s worth a try.
What I’d Repurchase
The Omega-3 is an easy yes. It fits into daily life without effort. Another one that I would keep around for busier weeks is Vitamin C. Lutein is more specific but useful for high screen time.
It is sensible to take Vitamin D3 + K2 as a constant, daily supplement. The gummies are nice to have but more a preference than a necessity. If I want extra support for energy I would choose CoQ10 again.
None of these felt life-changing, but collectively they made for a more balanced day-to-day routine. And that was what made them worth keeping around.
